Product
is your packaging recyclable or compostable?
Our bags are made with 100% biodegradable & compostable materials. We are actively working on getting a compostable certification from BPI to certify that our bags are Home and/or Industrial compostable. Until we have compostable certification from BPI, we recommend throwing out the bags (although you are totally welcome to try composting them)!
Are your products organic?
Yes! All THEO’s products will be 100% USDA organic, including BEET Jerky.
Does BEET Jerky contain any allergens?
Our Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper and Savory BBQ flavors are Free from the Top 9 Allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, wheat, milk, soy, fish, shellfish, sesame), and Sesame-Ginger Teriyaki is Free from the Top 8, but contains sesame. Each flavor also contains coconut.
Are your products vegan?
All THEO’s products are 100% plant-based and vegan-friendly.
Does your product contain soy? What about gluten?
BEET Jerky is soy-free and gluten-free.
Where does the sugar content come from?
Beets have natural sugars in them, about 9g per serving. But that’s hardly the same as eating 9g of sugar from candy. Beets are high in fiber (10g per bag!), which slows the absorption of sugar in the bloodstream.
Do your products contain GMOs?
All THEO’s Plant-Based products are 100% USDA Organic and Non-GMO.
Where do you get your beets from?
We work directly with organic beet farmers across the United States!
What is the shelf life of BEET Jerky?
BEET Jerky has a 12 month shelf life and is best consumed within 7 days of opening.
How does the nutritional content of your product compare to whole beets?
Though our recommendation will ALWAYS be to purchase whole, raw, vegetables (especially from local organic growers :D). BEET Jerky is dehydrated, which maintains most nutrients found in a raw beet!

Where do you ship?
We ship to the 48 continental states and offer free shipping! Alaska, Hawaii & Canada are all on the near horizon!
How are orders shipped?
Orders are shipped via UPS Ground.
What is your return policy?
Defective products purchased from theosplantbased.com: To inquire about a refund on defective products purchased from THEO’s Plant-Based’s website, please contact us [insert email address]. Products are deemed defective at THEO’s discretion. If the products are deemed defective, they can be refunded at partial or full refund to the credit card on file. Please note that minor damage to packaging is not considered defective.
Defective products purchased on other e-commerce sites: All products thought to be defective purchased from an e-commerce grocer must be returned to the retailer for replacement or refund. THEO’s cannot issue partial or full refunds for defective products not purchased through THEO’s website.
Non-defective products: There is a no refund policy on non-defective products.
Can I cancel my order?
Unfortunately, orders cannot be changed or canceled once they are placed. This includes the payment method. Please check that the item(s) in your cart are correct and that you are intending to checkout when you submit your order.
Where are my beets!?
If your package has been marked as delivered but you don’t see it on your doorstep, e-mail us at hello@theosplantbased.com and we’ll help track it down!

Where can I find BEET Jerky?
We are beginning to sell into Whole Foods stores in the Midwest! Once we begin expanding, we’ll create a store locator so you can find a store near you. For now, we are largely selling online!
