FAQs

What is Beet Jerky?

Beet Jerky is a new vegetable snack packed with 3 servings of beets per bag! First of its kind, Beet Jerky is USDA Organic, Gluten Free, and Upcycled with 170 calories or less per package. We use the entire beetroot including the stem, peel, and root of the beet, to increase nutrition and reduce food waste.

Why beets?

Because beets are a superfood and are loaded with fiber, antioxidants, and micronutrients like folate, vitamins A and K, manganese, copper, and potassium. Plus they have natural sweetness and amazing texture!

How do you make it?

The secret to making our veggie jerky is treating the veggies just like you would meat! We start by marinating our beets with vinegars and spices, and then slow-roast them to perfection. Each flavor gets its own in-house spice blend.

Beets have sugar, right?

Beets have natural sugars in them just like fruit. The fiber in beets helps slows the absorption of sugar in the bloodstream, and with Beet Jerky you're getting over 30% of your daily fiber in just one bag!

WHAT IS REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE?

Regenerative organic agriculture is a collection of practices that focus on regenerating soil health and the full farm ecosystem. The farms we work with are using regenerative practices to foster soil health, like composting beet greens at harvest and using cover crops!
